HR Manager
About the job
At BYBORRE, we’re looking for a Human Resources Manager who will play a leading role in ensuring our studio is a great and supportive place to work! As HR Manager, you are an organisational wizard with experience coordinating people operations. You like to think ahead, solve challenges independently, and, most importantly, take care of others.
Over the last couple of years, we have built a solid framework and set up tools for our people operations. Now we are looking for someone who is excited to take ownership of what is already there and add their own signature to the mix. Even if you are in the studio for 2 to 3 days a week, you are a vital part of the team; a passionate professional who is "always on" in spirit when it comes to the well-being of our people.
To be successful in this role, you should be able to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks effectively. We have structured this role specifically to ensure the workload is balanced and achievable within your part-time hours, allowing you to focus on quality interactions and smooth operations. You are a quick learner, a self-starter, and you truly love to work with people! Ultimately, you will be responsible for supporting your team members and assisting them to do their work, even better.
Together, we are on a journey towards a healthier textile industry, with more creative freedom, less waste, and textiles designed with intent. If you are someone with a passion for people and smooth operations, and are excited about the opportunity to be a part of a company that is changing the industry, we would love to hear from you.
About the team
You’ll be part of a small, cross-functional backoffice team within a company of around 25 people. The team works closely together and spans financial, HR, and strategic expertise.
You’ll collaborate directly with the CEO, and the entire organisation day to day.

What you'll be doing
In your role, you will be:
An ambassador of our company values, ways of working and people related policies.
Coordinating all aspects of the employee journey, from hiring new team members to organizing thoughtful goodbye’s, and everything in between.
Handling the administrative tasks connected to the employee journey, such as preparing contracts, maintaining employee records and coordinating salary mutations with our accountant.
Informing and advising our team members, team leads and our leadership team on people related topics.
Providing people data to our leadership team and external partners (investors, UWV, arbodienst, insurance, accountant etc.).
Organising Learning & Development efforts for individual and team-level implementation of our growth and goal-setting values.
Facilitating an inclusive space for team members, to ensure they have a safe place to work.

Skills & experience
What we're looking for in the ideal candidate. Not all of these are must haves, so please take the leap to get in touch even if you don't feel you meet all criteria.
2+ years experience in a combined People Ops/HR role.
An educational background in HRM is a plus.
Strong understanding of HR principles and practices and a basic knowledge of Dutch employment laws and regulations.
Great communication skills in Dutch and English, both written and verbal (our studio language is English).
Positive and open mindset, you like to get things done!
Ability to maintain discretion and handle sensitive/confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
Resourcefulness and ability to show strong initiative.
A self-starter who is responsible, organized and reliable.
A genuine passion for working with people and supporting a team!

About BYBORRE
There is nothing in life that we use more than textiles. Among the oldest and most universal objects produced by humans, textiles have proven to be a reliable tool that enhances our lives and brings across stories. Their influence goes beyond imagination. And yet, the journey that leads to a textile’s existence often remains unquestioned.
At BYBORRE, we are on a mission to drastically change the textile industry as we know it today. Envisioning a future where textiles are made with conscious intent, we merge the physical and digital worlds of textile creation, unlock material innovation and establish a transparent supply chain to give our customers worldwide access to responsible textiles for the products we use everyday.
Based in Amsterdam we have our own knitting lab with a range of circular knitting machines and an extensive yarn library. We experiment and innovate to create the most responsible knits of the highest quality.
We offer a collection of responsible textiles to our customers, with the opportunity to create custom textile. Our primary focus lies within the interior and apparel segments. Primarily, we direct our efforts towards brands, architects, project developers, designers and the end consumer. We offer our products and aim to raise awareness about the state of the textile industry by emphasizing how (our) responsible textiles can be a game changer.
By exploring new textile design and manufacturing processes that are less wasteful, harmful, inflexible and more collaborative, open and inspiring, we are creating a movement that challenges the conventional norms of the industry – encouraging you to think differently about textiles and inviting you to be part of something bigger.
