At BYBORRE, we’re looking for a People Operations Specialist that will play a leading role in ensuring that our studio is a great and supportive place to work! As People & Studio Manager, you are an organisational wizard with experience coordinating office and people operations. You like to think ahead, solve challenges independently and to take care of others. 

Over the last couple of years we have built a solid framework and set up tools for our people and studio operations. Now we are looking for someone who is excited to take ownership of what is already there and adds their own signature to the mix. As a small organization, there are always opportunities to improve and we praise initiative theron.

To be successful in this role, you should be able to work in a dynamic environment and do multiple things at the same time. You are a quick learner and love to work with people! Ultimately, you will be responsible for keeping everything in the studio running smoothly and as such allow your team members to do their work, even better.

About the team

  • Be part of a close-knit and international team (+/-20 people) in Amsterdam

  • Mix of experts in different fields (knit engineers, textile designers, in-house digital team and more)

What you'll be doing

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

People Operations / HR

  • An ambassador of our company values, ways of working and people related policies

  • Coordinating all aspects of the employee journey, from hiring new team members to organizing thoughtful goodbye’s, and everything in between

  • Handling the administrative tasks connected to the employee journey, such as preparing contracts, maintaining employee records and coordinating salary mutations with our accountant, etc

  • Informing and advising our team members, team leads and our leadership team on people related topics

  • Providing people data to our leadership team and external partners or parties (investors, UWV, arbodienst, insurance, accountant etc.)

  • Organise team events and rituals, together with the rest of the team

Office Management

  • Making sure the studio is well organized (office supplies, grocery orders, storage, lunch set up etc.) 

  • Support the team with IT related needs or issues and manage access to company accounts and information

  • Manage relationships and agreements with our lunch provider, cleaners and other relevant suppliers

  • Making sure the studio is a safe place to work by leading our safety policies and efforts

Skills & experience

What we're looking for in the ideal candidate. Not all of these are must haves, so please take the leap to get in touch even if you don't feel you meet all criteria.

  • 2+ years experience in a combined People Ops/HR & Office Management role, ideally in at a start-up

  • An educational background in HRM and/or Office Management is a plus

  • Strong understanding of HR principles and practices and a basic knowledge of Dutch employment laws and regulations.

  • Great communication skills in Dutch and English, both written and verbal (our studio language is English)

  • Positive and open mindset, like to get things done!

  • Ability to maintain discretion and handle sensitive/confidential information with professionalism and integrity

  • Resourcefulness and ability to show strong initiative

  • A self-starter, responsible, organized and reliable

  • “BHV” and drivers licenses are a plus
